How To Cook Tortellini In Instant Pot

When the valve drops, carefully remove the lid. Pour olive oil in instant pot insert. Set it to manual high pressure for 3 minutes.

Secure the lid and place the vent in the sealing position. Using the manual/pressure cook button, select a 2 minute cook time at high pressure. Set to manual or pressure cook mode on high pressure.

Begin to heat olive oil. Add the broth, tomatoes, basil, onion powder, salt, and tortellini to the pressure cooking pot. Top with 2 cups of marinara sauce.

Optional, stir in the fresh basil and pepper. Stir in broth, heavy cream, pesto and italian seasoning. Add chicken stock, tomato paste, tortellini, basil, oregano, and parsley.

Set to saute mode on high and add tortellini. After the cook time is complete, perform a quick release of pressure. When the cook time ends, turn off the pressure cooker.

Cook on high pressure for 3 minutes. Turn off the saute function and add tortellini and fresh spinach. Close the lid and set the vent to the sealed position.

Lock the lid in place. Add salt, olive oil and enough stock (or water) to barely cover the pasta. Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted.

When the instant pot beeps, quick release the pressure manually. In the insert pot of the instant pot, combine water and tortellini. Select a pot that is large enough to hold all of the water with at least 2 inches (5.1 cm) of head space at the top of the pot.

Drain off excess grease and return beef to the pot. Plug in instant pot, press “sauté” button (if other pressure cooker, browning mode). Add remaining 1 t olive oil to instant pot.

Once browned, use towel or silicone mitts to lift insert slightly to the. Gently fold in tortellini until well combined. Turn instant pot on to saute.
